I booted up steam on my 2nd desktop to check out the new sales. Apparently it never finished installing Left 4 Dead 2; no rush though.

So much time spent playing L4D2 with friends back in the day. 2009 was peak Xbox Live.

Nope, AT &T, but I only have ethernet for half the house. The second half of the house has a mesh network device, to which this desktop is directly plugged into. So its...
Router -> wifi signal -> Mesh Device -> ethernet cord -> desktop
It was literally the only way to get this computer on the network... with parts I already had laying around, lol.

It’s a fun game. Unfortunately I never had xbox live, so i played the whole game solo. Still a great game. I’m thinking of asking Oppo in the next couple of days if anyone has steam game recommendations, or if a bunch of opponauts play the racing games on it.

My current connection is like this: Comcast > Modem/ Router > Ethernet > Powerline Network Bridge > Ethernet Router (being used as an AP) > Ethernet > Desktop. A little complicated but I usually can still pull a bit in excess of 100MB with acceptable ping. I was in the Google Project Stream beta, and the experience really wasn’t that pleasant though .

I would love to network my internal home network with gigabit speed internet. I know AT&T probably wont give it to me, but i like to remote into the other computers and run a ‘ secure copy’ command to copy music from computer to computer. Unless it’s windows, then it’s just a unnecessary headache, lol.
